Hermes Oran Sandal Review and 5 other Pairs I’m Loving

Hello!  I hope you guys are having a great week!  Everyone is slowly adjusting to daylight savings in our house with Griffin having the hardest time.  He was up until 10pm last night…why do we do DLS again?  Someone please make it stop, lol. I know many of you are traveling somewhere warm or if you’re like me and it’s warm where you live, you’re ready to break out the sandals.  I’ve had many requests to review sandals for the Spring snd specifically, my designer ones so let’s break it down! From the top left…

Open Edit Quincy Sandal

This sandal is SO well made for the price and has a major designer feel (Bottega) without the hefty price tag.  It comes in three color options and runs true to size.  I LOVE these. They’re very versatile (wear them to a Wedding or with jeans for date night) and the square toe gives them a bit of edge.  The straps are velcro and adjustable and I find them to be really comfortable for a heeled sandal.

Hermes Oran Sandal

These beauties were on my wish list for years!  My Mom purchased them for me for my 40th Birthday and I’ve been so happy with them.  They’re classic and SO well made and will last forever.  I purchased them at the San Diego Hermes store and can’t link to them unfortunately.  In terms of sizing, I’m a true 7.5 and got a 37.5.  I have heard of people going up a half size but the 38’s were too big for me personally. I find them to be very comfortable and stylish and wear them with everything from cutoffs to jeans to dresses.  Seeing how often I wear them, I now wish I would have gotten them sooner! If considering an investment sandal, I would 100% suggest these! If you’re like me and want to try the look before you buy, these are an amazing look for less option!

Steve Madden Block Heel Sandals

I purchased these a few years ago (I think 2019) for an event where I needed a neutral sandal with a block heel.  The block heel seemed like a wise choice for being on my feet for a while but honestly, the part of this shoe that rubs against my heel is not very comfortable in my opinion.  The top part hit the back of my foot and rubbed constantly. So while I do think these are super cute…they are not the most comfortable and I would not suggest them for events where you’ll be standing or walking a lot!

Dolce Vita Cork Sandals

These are a newer purchase for me and they’re GREAT.  For similar reasoning to the Steve Madden’s, I wanted a block heel for comfort in the Spring and Summer and these are VERY comfy!  I wore them walking around Saturday night and was so impressed with them and how comfy they are!  The cork has a little give and the straps have hidden elastic so they stretch around your foot which I really appreciate. The cork heel is round which gives me the vibe if these Loeffler Randall’s which I’ve considered purchasing multiple times! I got my true size in these.

Seychelles Low Key Sandals

I love the look of these.  I really do…and I do wear them a lot.  But I need to mention that they’re a TAD heavy.  Maybe I’m being dramatic or comparing to my very light and minimal other sandals, but these feel heavier.  Nothing too crazy but it is worth mentioning as it does impact how often I reach for them (drop off, pick up and short errands).  They look DARLING with leggings and shorts though! One thing to note is that the general bulk does make the part where your foot stands on (what is the technical term for that part of a shoe?!) very cushy/comfy! These run whole sizes only so I went up to an 8 and they fit perfect.

Christian Dior Dway Slides

These were on my wish list for a few years and I got them for myself in 202o.  It was the middle of the pandemic so I didn’t wear them much that Summer but I wore them a TON last Summer and it’s one of those where I wish I hadn’t waited so long to get them for myself.  They’re light weight, come in several color options and SO chic.  They run tts (I got a 37.5) and are so fun! I honestly have nothing but good things to say about them! The canvas is nice and structured so while I haven’t needed to walk miles in them, they are very comfortable!  I LOVE the stitching and had a hard time deciding on a color since I basically loved them all, lol!
