Summer Break Must Haves for the Family

Our kids are officially on Summer Break at the end of this week and I couldn’t be more excited for them! While they will be in a few activities this Summer, we’re keeping it pretty mellow and plan on lots of pool and beach time and playing at home and in the yard!  I’ve already stashed a few activities to pull out when I need them and wanted to share our favorites with you.  As you can see, there is no slime, kinetic sand or foam on my list this year.  After spending WAY too much time scrubbing slime and vacuuming kinetic sand, I’m going to try to avoid those as much as possible if I can, lol.  Our kiddos are almost 4 and almost 7 (WILD) and for the most part, they like a lot of the same things when it comes to this type of stuff!

While they may use a water table differently, they both still LOVE ours.  It’s several years old and we’ve since taken off the top tower but Griffin will play with his animals in it and Coco will pretend her Barbie’s are at the pool.  The Butterfly Garden was a gift from my bestie and our kids were thrilled by the process of having caterpillars and seeing them turn into beautiful monarch butterflies. This is a GREAT gift idea for Birthday parties too! Both of our kids love sensory boxes (Young, Wild and Friedman ones are a hit) but for a less expensive option, these Target ones are great! Both of my kids love crafts and I have been SO impressed with the Mondo LLama line at Target.  They are priced very well and we’re painting these ceramic unicorns at Coco’s Birthday party next week!

What are your favorite activities in the Summer?  I’d love to know!  I hope this is helpful and as always, thank you so much for following along! xx
