Wow- it’s Election Day! With tensions, emotion and anxiety seemingly at an all time high (it’s not just me, right?!) I thought today would be a great day to share my Peloton ride post. I’ve lived with anxiety since I was a child but in my adult years, it has gotten much more intense. It has ebbed and flowed over the last 10 years…peaking after I had Colette and peaking yet again in the last 8 months. Ironically, in my 10 years of experience as a pharmaceutical rep, I sold medication for anxiety and depression (Lexapro and Viibryd) so from both a personal and professional standpoint, I feel like I’m very familiar with this topic!
The one thing that has consistently helped my anxiety is working out. The mental benefits of exercise FAR outweigh the physical benefits for me. It has helped me SO much which is why I really try to make it a priority- even if just for 20 minutes. Last week, I asked you guys to share your very favorite uplifting Peloton rides and you guys delivered! I can’t wait to take some of these rides! The Peloton along with Melissa Wood Health workouts have been my go-to lately.
I want you all to know that if you’re struggling right now…I have been there and there is zero shame in your feelings. I’m grateful we live in a society that has chosen to normalize mental health and treatment. You deserve to feel your very best so I encourage you to take care of yourself mentally, physically and emotionally. These are crazy times and I am sending you all my love now more than ever! xx
