Your Top Five from September

How is it already October?  I just love this time of year!  We took the kids to Bates Nut Farm over the weekend and checked a lot off of our Fall bucket list- hay rides, pumpkin patching and sunflower fields. It was a haul to get there but really cute and fun for the kids!  We started to decorate for Halloween on Sunday and I have to say, it is the best.  They’re so excited and the best part is that this is just the beginning of the Holiday Season! There’s so much to look forward to and seeing it through their eyes is so special.  It started to cool down in San Diego and honestly, throwing on sweaters and sweatshirts was nothing short of amazing!  I even wore a turtleneck on Saturday night- wild! Weather like this reminds me of just how great it is to live in Southern California.  The cool mornings and evenings coupled with days in the low 70’s are the definition of perfect weather! It’s no surprise that 4/5 of your top 5 purchased items in the month were sweaters and sweatshirts! If you’re new here, WELCOME!  Each month I put together a list of the Top 5 selling items from my blog and Instagram account and share it here with an explanation on what made me purchase that item and why I think so many of you love it too.  As always, thank you so much for following along! xo

1.) Mock Neck Sweater I shared this via stories and clearly you guys were just as desperate for a great Fall sweater as I was!  The color, oversized fit and texture make this one a home run.  It comes in 3 colors and when I just checked, 400 people were viewing it online- and for good reason!  I’ve said this before but it needs repeating- finding a quality knit under $100 is challenging.  Mostly with the FABRIC.  You gotta make sure it’s not going to pill and snag or have a cheap look.  I’ll be sharing more on this in an upcoming post but know that this one is mighty fine. It runs tts (I got an XS) and if I didn’t have a blonde dog that sheds, I’d snag the black too. I plan on wearing it with leggings and denim all Fall and Winter long!

2.) Camel Sweatshirt- It looks so boring online and yet I am SO in love and impressed by it!  The inside of the sweatshirt is the softest, coziest material ever.  Not only is it super cute by itself but throw a moto jacket or denim jacket over it (as seen in pic above) and you’ve got yourself a cute little outfit.  You all know I’m a sucker for this color too.  If you want to elevate your casual or athleisure game this Season, grab one of these- such a great price point too!

3.) Air Heart Sunglasses- Spectacular sunglasses for under $80.  They look great on everyone and somehow the lens is blacked out and reflective and just looks fab. Not to mention they are very comfortable. I find myself reaching for these more than any others I have!

4.) Long Cardigan- A long grey cardigan will serve you well this Season, I promise!  There are so many great ways to style it- with black denim, regular denim, leggings…when I worked as a pharmaceutical rep, my go to outfit was a navy dress with a grey cardigan, brown belt and brown boots.  Office and everything in between appropriate!

5.) Snakeskin Kimono- I love that this made the list.  My gut is telling me that you see the versatility that I do in this piece.  It is just as cute layered over a top with jeans as it is as a bathing suit coverup!  I also love having a cool layering option during the day when it’s still warm out but I want to feel like I’m layering with the Fall Season.
