Hi! I hope you guys had a relaxing, fun and safe 4th of July! We took the kids to the sweetest Butterfly Garden in Encinitas- highly recommend this little gem if you’re local and have kids under the age of 5. Then Austin took Coco to see Aladdin (she LOVED it) and we hosted a BBQ that evening, had wine and played Old Maid with Coco. We topped the day off by watching Adrian (Austin’s brother) dance on NBC for the Macy’s Fireworks special in NYC. I went to bed last night with a full and grateful heart for so many reasons! Honestly, my kids are at great ages and as we transition from having a baby to a toddler, I find myself feeling sad but also really ENJOYING the freedom and fun that goes along with this stage. So let’s chat! Lot’s of fun things to share with you guys from the week including some great sales!
What I purchased– I had been on the hunt for a white, classic shirt style bathing suit cover up. This one hasn’t arrived yet but I’m hoping it fits the bill. It will be my 3rd attempt at this, lol- two of them have already been returned from other retailers. In totally domestic news, I saw this corn peeler in my Real Simple magazine and purchased it. Not sure I’ve been more excited about anything in a while! We grill a LOT of corn and I’m not sure what I dread more- peeling it or cutting the kernels off for my kids.
Slime– Coco has wanted to make slime forever now! Slime seemed really messy (obviously) but I figured it COULD NOT BE WORSE than the water beads or kinetic sand so we googled the ingredients (not what I would have expected btw), and headed to Target. How excited was I when I saw that Elmers makes a slime kit with everything you need already boxed and ready to go?! We got this one and honestly, had a freaking ball making and playing with it!
HOW TO CLEAN SLIME OFF OF CONCRETE– And my next google search was this, lol. This article will tell you how to get slime out of ANYTHING.
How To Easily Cut a Watermelon– LOVE that Casey and her husband share how to cut a small watermelon! Because you KNOW I’ve ruined a few in my day, lol.
Nordstrom Sale– The Nordstrom sale starts next week and I can’t wait to share my finds with you all. I’ll be shopping for myself, my kids and I always stock up on gifts during this sale! Stay tuned next week for more info surrounding the sale and be sure to check here and my Instagram for all of the details.
