Happy Friday – aren’t 3 day weekends the best?! This week was full of odds and ends like giant tree removals, redoing Coco’s room (more on that later), doctors appointments (annual physical and skin check DONE!) and lots of work on the back end of my blog/Instagram. Do you guys have any fun plans for the weekend? We plan on hitting the pool, having dinner with friends and celebrating our nine year anniversary! We watched our Wedding video with Coco this week and she loved watching Mommy dressed as a princess and Daddy dressed as a prince dancing the night away. Then came LOTS of questions on getting married and if I saved my dress for her -my heart literally melted and I felt instant gratitude that I decided to keep my dress and not sell it. It was so fun to take a walk down memory lane with her but also shocking how much styles have changed in nine years!

If you’re in the market for pretty much ANYTHING, this weekend is probably the time to pull the trigger since you’ll likely find it on sale! I’m in a bit of a shopping lull right now. I don’t want to invest in anything else for Summer yet it’s still really hot here in California so I’m sticking to all of my favorite basics (shocker, I know). I’m also not yet in the mood to shop for Fall since things will just sit in my closet until November when it finally cools off!
Speaking of basics, I couldn’t wait to share these tie waist pants I wore in Chicago. I actually bought these last year after seeing them on a girlfriend. They are so flattering and the fabric is really light (doesn’t wrinkle AT ALL) and comfortable. If you remember, I paired them with my favorite white bodysuit for the rehearsal dinner to the Wedding we went to last month. PS- they’re 40% off this weekend!
This outfit could easily be worn with a cardigan, blazer or tucked in blouse to make it office appropriate but will easily transition to an evening out. Talk about versatility!
