Happy Friday! You guys…so much to discuss.  I finally pulled the trigger and got the holy GRAIL of belts, the belt that has lived on my wish list for a while…the Gucci Marmont belt.  It was meant to be. I have a fabulous girlfriend named Sharon.  We used to work together and we would always talk all things fashion and have very similar taste.  In fact, I think she was the one who convinced me to buy my Stuart Weitzman boots…the details are fuzzy but either way, we can always count on each other to talk the other one into buying something that’s been on our wish list.  Dangerous indeed.  But I digress.  She was on her honeymoon and offered to snag the belt from me from their flagship store in Prague.  How could I resist?  Austin, are you reading this? Merry Christmas to me and did I mention I had a baby in August?  Love you!

On the topic of belts…I have a funny story to share.  When I interned for Neiman Marcus in college, I purchased a few luxury items on my discount.  An Hermes scarf, a Michele watch and a pair of baby pink Chanel pumps I saw Charlotte wear on an episode of SATC.  I still have and wear ALL of those items and btw, my internship was about FIFTEEN years ago. Here’s where I’m going with this…invest in the classic things you love because more often than not, they’ll stand the test of time.  You know what I bought and returned?  The Hermes H belt. Yup.  I bought it…it was around $500 at the time without my discount.  Then I returned it because I felt guilty spending the money.  That belt is now $1300 and I’m still haunted by it!  But back to the Gucci belt…Like to Know.It came out with a bunch of data on what consumers bought through their platform and it turns out that people generally held back on making large luxury purchases in 2017 with the exception of the Gucci Marmont belt.  People jumped all over it and I wanted to get on the bandwagon! And I have to say…I love it and am so glad I did.

What else am I glad about?  This freaking cardigan which is now on SALE.  It’s so cute to wear with jeans or leggings and the perfect layer for chilly temps.  I wore it with a scarf and otk boots the other day and got tons of compliments on it.  Admittedly, I was worried about the balloon sleeves, thinking it would be too much volume, but I promise, it’s a non issue!  EEEKKK Christmas is in just a matter of days.  Time to open a bottle of wine, blast some Christmas music and get wrapping.  Are you done shopping and wrapping?  As always, thank you so much for following along! xo
