Hi Everyone! I hope this has been a great short week for you! I wanted to pop in and share an outfit I wore for Memorial Day last week.  As my belly grows (3rd Trimester!), finding outfits that are comfortable yet stylish have become a challenge but per usual, a little black dress never fails.  This was a maternity dress I saved from my pregnancy with Colette that is still in stock over 3 years later! When I was pregnant with her, I was working full time in pharmaceutical sales and wore this dress at minimum, once per week. The length works with heels or flats and the fabric is super stretchy and soft.  I pulled it out for memorial day and paired it with a classic jean jacket (it’s been super chilly here and I’m so over our #maygray) and these fun lace up pom pom shoes for a dinner out with some friends.

I’ve always appreciated women who have effortless style- great jeans, paired with a great t-shirt and some show stopping heels or handbag.  Simple but really chic.  Where I grew up, many women embodied that style…they didn’t get into trendy, in one day, out the next looks.  They invested in things like denim and classic pieces that would last for years. But here in California, I feel like women are much more experimental with their styles.  They dip into trends…you see casual, bohemian, sporty and pretty much everything in between.  I appreciate and love both looks but often feel like I’m torn with my ‘personal style’ as a result of living in two different places that had really different styles.  So I try to mix elements of all of them- like a classic lbd, a denim jacket and some lace up pom pom shoes! Do you have a signature style or piece?  Have a great Friday and as always, thanks so much for following along! xo
