I know, I know. You have enough to shop for this time of year. But you absolutely cannot forget about your outfit for NYE! It’s that one special night where you can rock sequins and metallic without abandon and let me tell you, this was one of my favorite posts to create for that reason alone. We’re doing something pretty low key this year but we’ve had some pretty unreal NYE nights- especially in Chicago…ahh, the good ol’ days.
Speaking of nights out, I planned on wearing this outfit to the symphony last weekend but think it would he perfect for NYE as well. I was so excited to partner with the San Diego Symphony and couldn’t wait to see their Holiday show, Noel Noel and offer a giveaway of four tickets to you guys!
As luck would have it, it was the coldest day of the year so far in San Diego so I opted for some black pants and boots (as seen on Insta Stories in their immaculate bathroom) instead. My fear was that we would have to park far away from the theater and I would be forced to walk in a slip dress and 4″ heels to the show. Well, talk about regret! If you grab tickets to a show (which you should), please know that there is well lit parking everywhere around the theater AND they offer valet on the weekends! Who knew? My feet would have been perfectly comfy in those high heels!
The symphony itself was spectacular. As was the well stocked bar complete with a signature Holiday drink which my Dad and I thoroughly enjoyed- no need to guzzle- you can take your drinks and sip them in the theater…cue the raise the roof emoji! Sipping a cocktail while listening to a live orchestra play Holiday music in a stunning theater? We were feeling all the Holiday feels the entire night. They had a special guest, tony award winning singer, Brian Stokes Mitchell that was full of surprises. He did a rendition of the Grinch that I will remember forever because it was that good. I’m pretty sure nothing will compare to it as long as I live. The song selection was beautifully chosen to appeal to different religions and cultures and the choir and children’s choir gave me chills many times over. The show was beyond amazing and something I plan on making a family tradition for future Holidays. The San Diego symphony has a large variety of shows coming up, all of which would be worth seeing! I know we can’t wait to return. As always, thank you so much for following along!
