I hope you guys had a great weekend!  We had one of those low key weekends where we got a ton of outstanding projects done around the house.  Literally some of them had been gnawing at Austin and I for over a year like putting together our new white desk that we got for Christmas last year (which btw is 25% off now!).  My goal was to knock out those projects and get our house ready for the upcoming Holidays since we’ll be hosting and entertaining quite a bit!

Finding casual, everyday outfits is a category of wardrobe that can be kind of challenging.  I can throw together a date night look in no time flat but even I stare aimlessly at my closet wondering what the heck to put on to run to the grocery store.  Since I work from home, it almost seems wasteful to wear a great outfit when I’m not going to be out and about. And let’s be honest, we all know I’m a creature of comfort so most days, I’m in some type of athleisure (fave leggings HERE) which makes sense because when I’m not working, I’m chasing a toddler around. But here’s the thing…I’ve found that if I get dressed a little…I’m talking jeans and a casual top or an easy shift dress and booties, I feel so much more put together during the day. And I’ll be honest, that feels good!

When I’m styling my clients the #1 thing I get asked is for help putting together casual, everyday outfits.  The drop off line seems to be the place of everyone’s concern.

If I had a dollar for the amount of times I’ve heard, “Can you help me coordinate outfits that will take me from the gym to drop off or from drop off to coffee with a girlfriend?”….

But I get it!  You want to feel good during your daily to-do’s and one way to do that is to be wearing something that makes you feel pulled together, comfortable and cute. For me, a great pair of comfortable jeans and a cute top are wear it’s at.  If you’ve read the blog for a while, you know I don’t spend and arm and a leg on jeans and when I find something that works, I stay ride or die loyal to it. These distressed jeans by TopShop are it for me and here’s why:  1) they fit like a legging and have a ton of stretch, 2) they are on trend with their washes, distressing and hems and 3) at under $80, they don’t break the bank.  I throw a cute top on with them like this camo one, some booties and boom, a cute, casual outfit in the making.

Need another layer? Add one of these: this suede moto, this long grey cardigan or if you’re feeling sporty, this vest (and then I’d throw on my favorite black Nikes). If camo isn’t your thing, a few of my favorite neutral basics are here, here and here! Add any of the layers above or a scarf like this and hit the drop off line feeling like a million bucks. What are your go-to casual outfits?  I’d love to hear! As always, thank you so much for following along.
