Did you guys have a nice long weekend? My Dad and brother were in town visiting from Michigan and we had the best time with them. We did plenty of relaxing by the pool, cooking and catching up over wine but also did some fun San Diego attractions like visiting the Wild Animal Park with Coco and spending some time at the beach. I swear, I don’t really slow down unless I’m either on vacation or have family in town visiting…I can find anything to keep my busy and on the go which is why vacations or visitors are good for us all.
So now here we are and it totally feels like a Monday but it’s really Tuesday (hooray!) and I’m catching up on the blog, laundry and running errands…by the way, at Target today I bought another Pumpkin candle. I may need an intervention but clearly, I’m excited for Fall and everything that comes along with that. I swear today it had that Fall smell in the air…
This outfit is all about basics. Black jeans, a classic white t-shirt and a cozy gray cardigan are 3 basic items that you can mix and match with tons of different outfits and patterns to create hundreds of different looks. Personally, I’ve gravitated toward a neutral palette with my Fall/Winter purchases and love the almost monochromatic feel of these colors together. My Mom bought me a gray cardigan 4 years ago from JCrew and I wore it to death (I seriously threw it on over everything) so when I saw this one at Nordstrom, I knew it was time for an update. I love the pockets and the casual, loose fit and think it would be darling over just about anything (how cute would it be over a Fall floral dress with booties?!). Pulled together here with heels is a great look for a date night but throw some sneakers on (these are my favorites) and go run some daytime errands! PS, looking back at this outfit, it could totally be elevated by a belt. #nextime
What are your Fall essentials? As always, thank you so much for following along! xo
