Happy Tuesday!  I hope you guys are having a great start to your week! Guess what?  It’s time to prep for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale aka the Superbowl of sales.  The one. The biggie. This is it and it’s almost here. I’m not joking when I say that I save and make lists of things I want to buy months in advance of this sale because it really is that good.  Basically it’s new, on-trend merchandise that is marked down for a select amount of time.  I wait for this one all year long and this is the one sale where I do some very early Christmas shopping and get a few gifts crossed off my list months ahead of time.  Not to mention I stock up on necessities like bras and underwear (they always do a set of Hanky Panky) and invest in some on trend items for Fall like handbags and boots at supremely discounted prices.  Because Nordstrom is the main store that I shop at, I use their debit card for my purchases.  The debit or credit card allows you early access to shop the sale so I highly suggest signing up for this if you haven’t yet (you can apply here)!  If you don’t want to open a credit card, the debit card will just pull from your bank account and is a great option.  With both the debit card and credit card you accumulate points that are exchanged as gift cards to shop at Nordstrom #yay. So here is what you need to know:

1.) Most of the sale is comprised of  Fall/Winter items.  These items get heavily discounted for the duration of the sale (a few weeks) and then the prices go back up once the sale is over.  Make a list of what you need for the next few Seasons!  I KNOW I’m going to buy a pair of booties this year because I desperately need to replace mine.

2.)  Think about something you’ve had your heart set on.  My best friend had been jonesing for a Burberry Winter coat for ever.  Last year she scored one on the #Nsale that was 40% off! This is a great time to invest in discounted designer pieces you’ve had your eye on that will last the long haul.

3.) Early access starts July 14th.  You have to have the Nordstrom Credit or Debit card to gain access to this.  I would HIGHLY recommend signing up for one of them because stuff sells out quickly! Other dates to keep in mind:

7/22: Public Access to the Sale Begins
8/7: Final Day of the Sale

4.)  Make a list of gifts you need to buy- have a baby shower coming up?  A girlfriends’ birthday?  A housewarming party?  Stock up on gifts that are on sale! For the last two years, they’ve had a set of Voluspa candles on sale so I always stock up and keep them on hand for last minute hostess gifts.

5.) I shop by category.  For example, I know I need booties, so I’ll filter my search to boots and search those first.   Or I’ll search toddler girl clothing…you get my drift here.  It can be VERY overwhelming to filter through all of the merchandise so I find that this is the easiest way.  If you’re a designer junkie I would filter that designer first (they always have Tory Burch!) and start your search there since those items tend to sell out the quickest.

Stay tuned for plenty of content and goodies surrounding the #NSale in the coming week! Hope you had  a great weekend and as always, thank you so much for following along!
