Hi! First, I want to say thank you for all of the support from my last post! You sure know how to make a girl feel loved and I appreciate it so much. At the end of the day, I hope that partnering with Like To Know.It will make your experience with Kara Loves Coco more convenient and enjoyable. Did you have a good weekend? We usually do a date night on the weekends but Grandma and Grandpa are out of town for a few weeks so we were fending for ourselves and ended up spending a lot of time catching up with friends which was really nice. Some would say I have trust issues considering she’s almost two and I’ve never left her with anyone besides family however I took a small step forward this week and actually called a sitter that works for my girlfriend to see if she would have any availability in the next few weeks. I’m slowly but surely getting to the point where I would be comfortable having her be with someone else besides a family member. #babysteps
On Sunday, I did the final touches on a clients closet that I’ve been so excited to share with you. This was my largest scale job to date and it turned out so glamorous! What made working with this client so special is that she is a working Mom of three boys under the age of three. Yes, you may have to read that again. Three under three. Boys. Let’s just say she has her hands full and her everyday life is surrounded by all things boy. She wanted needed and deserved a space to call her own that was feminine and glam. After we purged 7 garbage bags full of things she was ready to part with, the fun really began.
We added a mirrored vanity so she could put her makeup on in peace. We installed a crystal chandelier, lamp, and lucite chair because I wanted it to evoke a feeling of a formal dressing room, not simply a closet. She chose simple shoe storage shelves to save on cost and splurged on having the room wallpapered in a luxe pattern that complimented her master bedroom and bathroom. I really feel like the wallpaper is what took the room to the next level and a closet is the perfect place to experiment with a fun pattern!
