Yesterday was the first official day of Spring and I couldn’t be more excited about the longer days despite the fact that the time change was a total disaster for Coco’s sleep. Seasonal transitions with your wardrobe can be tough…you want to go all in with the new Season, yet you may not be ready (or it may not be warm enough) to retire your essentials like sweaters and boots. This was one of those sweaters that I wore twice last week including a trip to the mall over the weekend. I wanted to do a little vacay shopping and found the cutest bathing suit at Seafolly and then I ended up leaving the bag somewhere while I was shopping… as in I didn’t come home with it and it is lost at the Mall forever. Cue the violins. Cue the rage that I spent that much money on a swimsuit top. Please say a prayer to the fashion gods that when I continue to call every store I went to during my mall trip for the next week, that some sweet soul has turned it in. At the very least, I felt like I had a seasonally appropriate outfit on (this one) when I lost my swimsuit and my mind.
I swear this was THE sweater I was searching for all Fall and Winter but could never seem to find. As luck would have it, I found it in March and have been wearing it non stop since! I love that it has a looser look, is longer in the back and is lightweight enough to be tucked into the front of your pants. Because I was instantly in love and wearing it all the time, I ordered it in White also. We were going to grab dinner after this shoot, but if it was just for an everyday look, I would pair it with booties like this or sandals like this. I’ve had these jeans for over a year now and I swear, they just get better with age (although keeping them clean with a toddler has proven to be seriously challenging). Pairing white jeans with a neutral colored sweater is great way to dip into Spring while keeping yourself covered and warm with the fluctuating temps. Here in San Diego, it starts off chilly but by noon you’d swear you needed to turn on your AC so I throw a T shirt on under it and am set for the day. Unfortunately, my jeans are sold out in white but I linked a bunch of other very similar options below. Stay tuned for Part 2 and transitioning your boots into Spring! I hope you have a great start to your week and as always, thank you so much for following along! xo
