You guys have sent a lot of emails about organizing and closet editing tips. Remember this post? Well it quickly turned into one of my most popular posts (love those analytics) so I decided with it being Spring, to do another post that will get you motivated to purge and organize your life and your wardrobe.
I edited and styled a client recently who truly had fantastic taste. Remember this Look for Less post? Yep, this is her closet…chock full of fabulousness. Think gold tulle skirts, sequins, red soles and Elizabeth and James crop tops. I was in heaven. We discussed her style…Anthropology meets Diane Von Furstenburg with a dash of preppy. We did a massive purge of the clothing that just wasn’t what she wanted her style to be anymore and then organized the clothing she loved according to color and category. We then picked out some items to fill in the wardrobe gaps (chambray dress, a floral print maxi, and this structured blazer from the Olivia Palermo Capsule Collection with Chelsea28).
My goal with my all of my clients is to always leave them feeling like they want to shop their closet as if it were a little boutique. With hers, we achieved that by adding slim felt hangers, a clutch divider, jewelry holders and a colorful x-bench so she can sit down while she puts on all of those gorgeous shoes. And I can’t seem to leave a project without adding a glam book or two…I now consider it my signature stamp (shop my faves below!). Nothing makes me happier than a meticulous closet and a happy client to enjoy it and it’s days like these that make me feel incredibly grateful that I get to organize and play dress up with other women and call it my job. I hope you have a wonderful weekend and as always, thank you so much for following along! xo
