It’s almost the weekend! Austin and I usually stay in and do pizza and wine on Friday nights and catch up from the week. Since I’ve been eating cleaner, I’m literally counting down the minutes until I can douse my pizza slice in ranch dressing and sriracha. It’s my weekly indulgent treat meal and I look forward to it all week long. Do you have a cheat meal or day? If so, you may want to seriously consider the recipe below…
I’ve been wanting to post an outfit like this for a while now. Seeing the black Nike trend explode over the last year literally had me doing joyful cartwheels for one main reason: Sneakers are the most comfortable. Period! Don’t get me wrong, I love my heels. But lets get real. I have a 19 month old, a lot of errands and my feet need support during the day. I seriously don’t know how Lisa Vanderpump does it all day long in those heels. I swear her staff must carry her around or something. Regardless, when the trend took off, I did my fair share of Pinterest-ing to get some outfit inspo (Check that out HERE and follow along) on how to wear Nikes while NOT looking like you’re going to do a TRX workout. One of the best looks I saw was pairing a neutral top, liquid or faux leather leggings and black Nikes. I tried this look yesterday and felt chic and comfortable…is there a better combo? Conclusion: Black Nikes are a wardrobe staple and I’ve linked my 5 favorite ones here:
1.) 2.) 3.) 4.) 5.)
This could also be a great super bowl party outfit! I personally don’t care about the game but I do care about looking good at the party. Even though the pants say, “I’m here to party”, the shoes tone it down and say “Don’t worry, I’m not that girl”. Speaking of Super Bowl and Pinterest, I’m sharing my secret party weapon with you. I don’t cook…in fact, I hate cooking. No really, I hate it but I do love to make this buffalo dip that I found on Pinterest because its THAT GOOD. People will go nuts over it. I promise you. Enjoy and as always, thank you so much for following along!
