Hi! This post is a day later than I would like it to be (typically I blog Mondays and Fridays) but we were still dealing with a sick baby Sunday and Monday! So basically, in corporate terms, I took one of my sick days yesterday. I hate being late for deadlines, even the ones I set for myself like my Monday/Friday blog post schedule but life happens and you just have to let go of your to-do list sometimes and roll with it (#typeaproblems). My best friend told me yesterday that when you have a sick child it becomes “crisis mode” and anything goes (i phone in the crib, Daniel Tiger at 3:30AM, Popsicle’s on the couch). That instantly made me feel better because when it comes to parenting, we put a lot of pressure on ourselves to get it
perfect right and when the shit (literally) hits the fan it’s easy to question the decisions were making…is all of this TV frying her brain? Which flavor of pedialite? Is my thermometer broken? She feels warmer than 101.2. And how is that NOT considered a fever? Should I call the nurses hot line again? Is it weird that we’re on a first name basis? I’ve come to the conclusion that with everything related to parenting and perhaps life in general you just have to do the best that you can and let everything else go. Easier said than done, right?!
So while I was mostly in my sweats over the past few days, I did manage to pull it together to get out of the house a few times. I love the color pink and find that I gravitate toward it when it comes to color in my wardrobe. You don’t have to go bold with hot pink but you can easily test the waters with a blush hue like this one! Pantone selected rose quartz (basically this sweater color) as their color of the year so I anticipate we’ll start to see much more of this color in the stores especially now that Spring collections are in stock. Light pink pairs really well with other neutrals like white, gray and black making it a very versatile color to have on hand! Happy shopping and as always, thank you so much for following along! xo
