Fall Transition

Happy Friday! This blog post is dedicated to Fall. I’m so ready for chilly weather however San Diego has a different agenda (i.e. it’s 90). I don’t want to complain because, well, we don’t have Winter per say but I am longing for Pumpkin Spice latte’s, the smell of leaves on the ground, layers, cozy turtleneck sweaters, boots, tweed, dark nail polish, jingle bells…whoa. Took it too far.

I’ve been trying to come up with ways to dip my toe into Fall fashion without looking ridiculous in this heat. This outfit has some elements that will allow you to do just that if you too live in a warm climate (I’m looking at you, my Floridian and Texan followers). I encourage you to consider vests- fur, denim, long, short, military- whatever the fabric is doesn’t matter. What matters is that you have a layer if you’re freezing to keep you warm and one to remove if you’re hot. Like the military vest below, it’s sleeveless so it adds a pop of color and texture without a whole lot of warm fabric. I fully plan on wearing this with dark denim skinnies, boots and a long sleeved top all winter long. Vests are really versatile and can up your wardrobe game in a minute. PS- This one is half off right now!

My other must have transitional item are boots or booties because they can be worn with shorts or dresses in warmer weather and with pants or tights in colder temps. Because they are so on trend right now you can find them at all sorts of price points. I found these at Marshall’s a few years back and have worn them to death but have linked some similar styles below. What are your go-to transitional pieces? As always, thank you so much for following along! Be sure to subscribe to get my blog posts sent directly to your inbox! xo
