My favorites- Hair Care Edition

Well hello again! If you’ve noticed I’ve been missing on the blogoshpere for the last week, I apologize! Having a sick hubby and an even sicker pup (which led to me needing to replace my rugs which then led to hours on Pinterest and One Kings Lane) along with taking care of our busy baby made me feel like there wasn’t one extra minute for anything! Do you ever have weeks like that? Can we get a few more hours in the day please? Luckily we are on the mend and our new rugs are on their way- more on my Spring organizing and decorating in a later post! Let’s get to the hair! I’ve had some requests for a hair post so I thought I would share my can’t live without items. First, let’s talk shampoo and conditioner. I’ve tried them all- from the very expensive to the very cheap. My personal take on shampoo is that I don’t notice a difference either way so for ME, it’s not worth investing my money here. Currently in my shower is Pantene and I’m loving it. I’m loving even more that it’s about $5.00. Now onto the conditioner. My OCD self likes to have matching brands of shampoo and conditioner in my shower so that’s usually the route I go. I do invest in this deep conditioning mask. It’s pricey but hear me out! I purchased this when I was growing out my hair for our Wedding and my stylist suggested it. This is the real deal and I promise you will notice a difference in your hair with regard to shine and overall health. I use it twice per week instead of my regular conditioner and I swear it solves all sorts of hair problems. The jar lasts forever- I’ve only purchased three jars since 2009- don’t ask me why I know this fact, I just do. Once my hair is dry and styled either straight or curly I’ll lightly spray this shine spray on it. This gem takes down any frizz I have going on while giving me a boost of shine. Use this one sparingly people or risk looking like a grease ball. After I style my hair, I spritz with this hairspray to set everything. Hairspray is another area where I’ve tried them all- I know there is a cult following for Elnett and I tried it for a while but the smell just irks me. This one smells really nice and leaves the perfect amount of ‘hold’ while looking natural. You can build the holding power if you need it, for say a slick pony (one of my fave hair looks) or a high bun. Noticeably absent in my must have list is dry shampoo. Here is where I differ from EVERYONE I know. I just can’t do it. I am a freak that HAS to wash her hair daily or every other day so I don’t have a need for the stuff. Two products that will be next on my list that have cult followings: Oribe Signature Royal Blowout and Bumble and Bumble Surf Spray. Are there any hair products that you can’t live without? I’ve linked all products discussed and shown below! As always, thank you so much for reading!
