Valentine’s Day

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! Our Valentine’s Day typically consists of ordering pizza and having wine but this year we decided to host a wine tasting party with some close friends. We did a blind wine tasting, drank tons of unique wines and enjoyed the 75 degree weather. I wanted a special dress for the occasion and got a chance to shop sans baby a few weekends ago. I cannot tell you how fun it was to shop and try on clothes by myself for a few hours. I think the sales associates thought I was crazy because I was so chatty and trying on so many things. “The limit is seven items in the fitting room, Miss”. Stop trying to ruin the Pretty Woman moment I’m having alone in my dressing room! Isn’t someone supposed to be ordering me a pizza right about now? Actually the sales associates were wonderful and among many other things I found this gem.of.a.dress. Go, run! Get it now. Let’s break this down. First there is the silhouette- I love a great a line skirt and think it hides a multitude of donuts things. The fitted bodice with the A line skirt lends to the appearance of a tiny waist. And then there are the pockets. I cannot sing the praises of skirt pockets loud enough. Through the night they held wine corks, baby monitors, lip gloss and teething rings. How convenient!

And then there is the back. SWOON. The gold zipper detail is to die for and the key hole allows a tiny, sexy peek of your back. I strongly debated a high ponytail to show off the back but you know how it goes when you’ve got a good blow out. Since the watercolor pattern was a bit much I paired down my accessories with these earrings and a these simple nude pumps.

The best part? This dress is under $50.00! It also came in black and white (see my post on Instagram from last week) which I may have to go back and get! This will be my new bridal shower, baby shower, wine tasting, date night and everything in between dress. I’ve linked the dress here. Do you have a go to dress? Let me know! As always, thank you for reading.
