The Skinny on Skinny Jeans

March 21, 2015

I've had numerous requests for a denim post and I totally get it- finding the perfect jeans can be super annoying, expensive and overwhelming: Skinny? Straight Leg? Boyfriend? Distressed? The options are endless! Until recently I was in complete disagreement with people who think jeans are actually comfortable. How could denim be considered comfortable when there are leggings in the world? I've felt this way because most jeans I've owned have given me the following issues: riding up wedgie style, dipping too low in the back so Hanky Panky's peek out when sitting at a restaurant, muffin top at the waist, shrinking and feeling like sandpaper after washing, getting totally baggy in the butt after one wear...the list goes on! That is until I found these jeans by MOTHER denim. Trust me when I tell you that these jeans are where it's at and are worth the investment. The reason you see them constantly in my Insta feed is because they.are.so.comfortable. Comfort is priority #1 for me when it comes to denim and these jeans feel like you're wearing cozy leggings. The key is a small percentage of Elastane which makes them stretchy- this also makes them fit like a glove without making you feel like a sausage (score!). See two different wash versions in the photos below! If you're looking for a budget friendly version, I HIGHLY suggest these jeans from Nordstrom seen in white below. The fabric is similar and the holes and frayed cuff are on trend for this season. They're a little higher in the waist but I'm in love with them. I've spent years trying the different 'IT' brand of jeans and keep coming back to these two which I've linked below. What are your go-to jeans? As always, thank you so much for reading! 1. Ahhh I wish I was back to pre pregnancy weight/shape so I could try them! I'm dying for a great pair of jeans that would be comfortable to chase around two kids while looking cute at the same time
